Monarch is a handsome and affectionate two year old who finds himself in the Manhattan Center due to his owners arrest. He is trained to sit and shake a paw and is very treat motivated. This elegant young dog is looking for a home and family of his own and he is waiting at the Manhattan Center for them. He deserves so well his given name. Monarch is strong but manageable, pulling a little on the leash and meeting other dogs with a proud stance. He eliminates during our stroll. His den is orderly and spotless. Monarch seems to have had some training prior to his coming to the care center. He sits on command and for treats that he loves. His eyes sparkle when he sees dry liver and even give me a paw shake in exchange for it. He can play ball but retrieves inconsistently. Monarch will have to be taught. Upon request, Monarch jumps on the bench next to me for some loving. This proud guy has a tender side. Shut... This is between you and me... Monarch is a gorgeous, confident but friendly blue nose who is at the Manhattan Care Center and waiting to meet his new master.
