Monday, 2/3/14, Another Official Ponder by Sam . . . Did you Rowdy folks make it to a Gods Boy gathering yesterday? I think I can safely say that the Basinites were really glad to see each other. As you know, the Artic Polar Vortex move down over us and created quite a stir. I checked with some natives of Basin and was told that ice like we had has never been seen before. Anyway, I was glad when it was said, Lets go up to the House of the Lord. From 23 degrees on Friday to 72 degrees on Saturday afternoon is an amazing occurrence. No wonder the epizootis is so prevalent. As a matter of fact, went to see my good friend Dr. McQueen Friday afternoon. I heard another of the South Alabama sayings that Id never heard before! He told me . . .Youre getting really close to the top side of bad! Before I left the Docs office, I was stuck with a really big and bad shot of something. You know its bad when Nurse Good Body tells you to let you leg go limp! Glory folks, I tried as best I could to quote some verse of Gods Word to help me through this trying time. All I could remember at the time was . . . (and I paraphrase) Sorrows may come for a season, but joy comes later on! That is, if you can walk!!!!!!!!! If any of you are going through the agony of the epizootis God bless you! Im beginning to think that I would like to have some of Ermas cough medicine from under the kitchen sink! This crud has been that bad! Just sayin!!!!!!!!! With the temperature supposed to max out at 76 degrees tomorrow, I thought I heard the sweet whisper of my name being called. Yes, I know I heard that wonderful tender voice of the Visitation saying, Sam, its been so long since you and I have had fellowship. Oh my, I dont know how many times that Ive apologized for my absence. I promised that as soon as I can . . . I will hitch that trailer to the B2, my truck, and off to Lake Eufaula we go! Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho!!!!!!!!! Although its raining right now in beautiful downtown Basin, Alabama . . . there is Glory to be had by keeping our Rowdy faces to the Son. For the first time in many years I didnt see the Super Bowl . . . apparently neither did you! Somehow Super doesnt quite describe the proceedings between Denver and Seattle! I think Denver has to say what I said about my deer hunting this year . . . Wait till next year! Again, just sayin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Later on!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since its Monday, some little errors may have occurred in the development of this Pondering . . . Oh well, Whoops!
