Monday, August 11, 2014 at 9:00 a.m., Dr. Walt Griffin, Superintendent of Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS) will ring in the new school year with the traditional bell ringing ceremony at the Public History Center (located in beautiful Historic Downtown Sanford) in celebration of the first day of school. There will be guest speakers, refreshments and tours of the building available. The Citys Historic Preservation Officer, Christine Dalton will say a few words about the future plans for the restoration of the building.
