Monday Money Matter$ 3/10/14 This weekend we moved the clocks ahead an hour. That’s a great reminder to check the batteries in your smoke detector and order a copy of your credit report. Through annualcreditreport , once a year every American can order a free copy of their Experian, Equifax and/or Transunion credit reports. We recommend ordering one report at a time and spreading the reports over the year. For example, order the Experian report when the clocks move ahead in the spring, order the Equifax report when the clocks turn back in the fall and order the Transunion report on your birthday. Hence, you will look at your credit 3 times a year and become very familiar with what is reported. This also provides ample opportunity to correct any errors on a regular basis. The credit report is free and you can print it immediately, but, you will have to pay for the credit score (generally $5-$10). If possible, we recommend ordering the score at the same time as the report. Your score is a fluid number representing your report at a specific point in time. Having the score with the report gives the most comprehensive picture of your credit profile. If you need assistance reviewing your report, call the credit union for an appointment with a credit counselor... Now you be blessed! 52 Week Challenge Week 25 deposit: $25
