Monday Music Notes – 5/12/14 Happy Mother’s Day! I’ve got LOTS of ballots to tabulate and leadership results to prepare so this will be a short edition of MMN! Thanks to everyone in the LRHS band family – Guard and Percussion tryouts were awesome, the Wind Bands concert capped of a great year of music making, the inaugural 5K RUN for the MUSIC was well executed and well-received, bradenton/2014/05/10/5147440/lakewood-ranch-run-for-the-music.html. And May Mini-Camp 2014 was our best yet! I logged 76 hours on the LRHS campus last week, and enjoyed every one! We continue/conclude our MAY CONCERT SERIES with the PERCUSSION and COLOR GUARD, our last opportunity to entertain and impress our families and supporters. Let’s Continue to work smart and hard to achieve our goal of being an outstanding program full of outstanding performers! Demonstrate OUR SUPERIOR Standard of Excellence in Everything that YOU do. REPORT TIME for GUARD and PERCUSSION is 6pm, Thursday evening! Its not the will to win, but the will to prepare to win that makes the difference. - Bear Bryant Coming Events: * May 15th Night of Guard and Percussion * May 22nd Mustang Awards Night and Band Banquet Remember - In order to receive your year-end awards or to be eligible for office in the coming year, you must be a member in good standing with NO unexcused absences. There is a list posted, take care of any missing parent or doctor’s notes! * May 30th Drumline performance at Gene Witt Elementary * SENIOR WILLS take place this week. Seniors, please read the handout sheet for details. Scripts are due for approval tomorrow, May 12th, Video vignettes will be filmed by Mr. Stedman THURSDAY May 15th during 4th period!
