Monday “Never give up on what you really want to do. The person with big dreams is more powerful than one with all the facts.”-Albert Einstein Everyone has vision. Whether they are big or small, they have vast importance in our lives. Vision is essential to humanity. Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision only passes the time. Vision with action makes a big difference and can change the world to make it better. Have you ever tasted stale popcorn? The only thing worse is stale vision. Think about the big picture. Setting goals allows you to choose how you want to move through life. Some achievements can take a lifetime to attain, while others can be completed in the course of a day. Setting and meeting goals will lead anyone to feelings of satisfaction and accomplishment. Im a big believer in persistence and tenacity. Never be greedy and, above all, work hard. Its what keeps us going. Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence and diligence. Talent will not; Talent is only a bonus, but persistence is what wins out. Just keep trying until you succeed. As it has been popularly quoted, “You haven’t failed until you have stopped trying.” Throughout human history, in any great endeavor requiring the common effort of many nations and men and women everywhere, we have learned - it is only through seriousness of purpose and persistence that we ultimately carry the day. We might liken it to riding a bicycle. You stay upright and move forward so long as you keep up the momentum. Live a life true to yourself by setting goals that you actually care for. Benjamin Franklin once said, “Energy and persistence conquer all things.” The application of persistence to any task, interaction or goal is often what distinguishes between those who are successful and those who fail in any endeavor. Indeed, a lack of persistence or giving up too soon is one of the most common reasons for failure in any endeavor. Persistence is the good side of stubbornness. You continue to do something even though it’s difficult or other people are against it. It refuses to accept failure. It keeps your dreams alive. By any means, if you keep trying, keep improving your methods and stay focused, you’ll eventually past the obstacle. Studies indicate that the one quality all successful people have is persistence. Theyre willing to spend more time accomplishing a task and to persevere in the face of many difficult odds. Failure is a given in life; expecting to sail through without a hiccup is unrealistic and sets you up to fall harder when failure does happen. Avoiding failure also prevents you from focusing on gaining the resiliency needed to cope with it, a vital element of bouncing back. The most important element in the failure equation is your personal commitment to keep trying. Remember all things are possible for those who believe. Being persistent is a skill that can help you to reach a goal, get what you desire and can even be a means by which you assert yourself in the face of stubborn or difficult people. A lot of people are unconsciously afraid to succeed and so keep them in a state of failure. Remember, on every front there are clear answers out there that can make your footings stronger, but youre going to break through the fear and the frustration when facing the day to day challenges. With some patience and a lot of effort, despite the many failures of the past, you will in the course of time succeed. Let’s make every challenge a celebration and enjoy every moment of your lives.
