Monday, November 10: Tonight will be brief, this momma is tired! Today we went to therapy and they began testing Dane to see his progress and to identify things we need to continue working on. One of the tests he did with Jason, his OT, he could not finish the first time he took it. Everything he attempted he did so much better than he did when they initially tested him. In speech, Kayla tested him with verbal cues in sequencing, memory, etc. He did so well. We have 3 more therapy sessions left. On the drive home tonight, Dane got a little emotional, he started to cry. I asked him what was wrong and he told me that he just wants “His normal life back”. Praise the Lord that he sees the difference, can express it and is dissatisfied with where he is. Diran and I are so amazed that he has not been more emotional through this. Diran showed him 2 videos to show him where he was and where he is now. One was of him tying a goat dummy in the floor of the game room on a mat as he couldn’t kneel and he has trouble getting his left hand to cooperate. The other was of him standing on his own, squatting down to tie a live calf and tying it efficiently and quickly. All this within a 2 month time span. We know God’s hand is on him. So we are asking for prayers tonight for endurance for the last stretch of therapy and for continued daily healing and for the next step to return to the “Normal life”. “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us..” Hebrews 12:1 Glory to God……..Sunday’s coming……………….
