Monday, September 15 – The first of LISD’s Go for Academic Learning and Success (GOALS) Days for elementary and high school campuses. It is also an early dismissal day for elementary and high school campuses. Elementary campuses dismiss at 12 noon and high schools dismiss at 12:40 p.m. GOALS Days at the elementary level are designed primarily for one-on-one, parent-teacher conferences. At the high school level, the campuses typically conduct a “mini bell schedule” and take parents through their students’ daily schedule of classes. The overarching purpose behind GOALS Days is to strengthen the district’s partnership with parents at every grade level.
