"a filipino congressman went to china to visit his counterpart. the chinese minister invited the filipino congressman to his home for dinner. the filipino congressman was very impressed with the lavish mansion, expensive furniture and the many luxurious cars in the garage. he asked the chinese minister: “how can you afford all this on a minister’s salary?” the chinese minister smiled, took him to the balcony of his mansion. “can you see that river?” asked the chinese minister “yes” replied the filipino congressman. “can you see the bridge over it?” “yes”, said the filipino. “10 percent”, said the chinese minister smugly and with a wink. a few months later, the chinese minister paid a return visit to his counterpart. the filipino congressman lavished him with hospitality. when they came to filipino congressman’s house, the minister was stunned by the huge palace the filipino congressman had built, glittering with precious art, luxurious furniture, expensive cars, dozens of servants, etc. “how can you possibly afford this, on a meager salary in pesos?’, he asked. the congressman called him to the balcony. “see the river over there?” “yes, sure”, said the chinese minister. “can you see the bridge over it?” the chinese minister looked and was confused. he peered more closely and said: “no, i don’t see any bridge!” “100 percent”, said the f*cking filipino congressman!"
