Monday night I had the opportunity to go to Callaway Middle School - TopicsExpress

Monday night I had the opportunity to go to Callaway Middle School and listen to the choir spring concert. Mostly made up of young girls and a couple of boys the children have worked hard to come together and were impressive! I was happy to hear Tina Forbus talk about the young girls finding a sence of belonging in the fellowship of their choir! Fellowship is very important to have a network of friends to relate to growing up. Children who feel a part of and dont isolate seem much healthier and less likely to fall into being convinced or trapped into doing the wrong things! It is important for the schools to stress fellowship and that was something I was proud to hear! My girlfriends granddaughter Hope is a member of the choir and seemed to be proud we showed up to hear them sing! I remember music at Unity School with Emory Drinkard! I played a percussion instrument and not very well I might add! How I ever wound up in a rock and roll band Ill never know but I always enjoyed music! Im glad music is still part of the school system and Im also glad they stress fellowship! Guidance for young children is important and friendships that will last a lifetime are being formed at this stage! I have many lifetime friends and many started in school! You all know who you are! Its great to keep friends for so long!
