Monday was another good retirement day...my friend Butch & I headed out to Auburn and the Tri-Five Store. We picked up Mel & headed out to Performance Coatings (drop off the headers) and then to my favorite store. On the way back, we stopped in Milton and had lunch. Mel, who works for LeMay (biggest car collection I know of) asked if we would like to tour the LeMay Car Museum in Tacoma. He had free passes (normally $14 a piece). The museum has four levels and probably about 250 cars and some motorcycles. It took us three hours and we could have been even longer if I didnt have some more things to do. It was a great day to look at old cars as well race cars, and some import cars. The ramps going down & up had a variety of cars with the landings having specialty displays. The rain had let up so the trip was more pleasant. The lowlands (old farm lands) were covered in water and some streets had water running over them. On Tuesday I took out a workbench that I modified for Rays Garage. You never have enough bench space in a shop. I also took the 57 out for a ride since the sun was shinning. Elvis & I had a great ride & stopped at Garys garage where he is working on 57 Chev Wagon for my friend Jonathon. I was invited to go with him to the the Hot August Nights Car Show Nevada, but Jimmy and his family are coming out at that time. Im looking forward to having them out and spending some time together. Little Jimmy will have his Learners Permit so we can get some driving in..... Happy, Happy, Happy.
