Monongahela National Forest is arguably the greatest natural treasure of West Virginia and home to 8 rivers that are the head waters to the Elk, Kanawha, and ultimately the Ohio/ and so on. There are several proposals to build huge gas pipelines and pumping stations through OUR forest to carry gas to North Carolina. We dont get the gas; we dont get the jobs; we dont get the revenue. What we get is the fracking and the destruction to our natural resources. I have found that, for the most part, West Virginians seem to be inured to the destruction wrought by big industry, and this makes me very sad....and angry, honestly. But, I will keep posting and you can do what you will...ignore, unfriend, delete, whatever. Someone out there in cyber land may care enough to help do something about it. Its your water...
