Monsoon showers seem to hit Green Valley and the Madera grasslands on most late afternoons this year. But if I’ve already driven that far, I stay and try to wait it out. I was just photographing a wasp mantisfly when the thunderstorm got serious, so I invited her into the car for shelter. So we watched the rain through the window, trying to wipe drops of glasses and antennae. We each have our own favorite senses for sure.
