Month-long ATSU silver jubilee celebration ends Oct 30: The month-long celebration of foundation day cum silver jubilee of the All Tagin Students Union (ATSU) concluded with various colourful programmes here at Rijo ground today.Addressing the valedictory function, Daporijo MLA Dikto Yekar appreciated ATSUfor providing the best platform for the student community to expose their hidden talent. He urged student community to participate in extra curricular activities like game and sports, art and culture besides spiritual and intellectual activities for all-round development.Appreciating the teaching community, especially, teachers who have come from different parts of the country to contribute in education sectors in the state, he also advised student community to keep away from bad habit like drug abuse and anti-social elements.District Tourism Officer Dikchu Raji also appreciated ATSU for organizing such mega programme and distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions. Cultural, literary and sports competitions were organized with participation of students from many schools during the month long silver jubilee celebration.Yesterday, many meritorious and outstanding performers including teachers, police personnel and students were felicitated in a function held at Rijo ground. Parliamentary Secretary PR and RD Punji Mara and District Fishery Development Officer Taye Riamuk attended the felicitation function. A Tagin audio album Ajiina was also released during the felicitation function.Earlier, ATSU President Raju Malling unveiled the ATSU foundation stone near airfield Daporijo.
