Mooroobool Power for Solutions lead by Ngulpa Ngulpa, is IN the MBL Community Center today! Booked for the next 5 Wednesdays. Now to the BS. After approval of their application there was a change in key policy...only it appears to be a change ONLY for this group. Key was to be picked up from Council on Spence St, not the neighbouring suburb Manoora (where others are picking it up from). When I pointed out the difficulty for the women to take two buses to pick up the key (with deposit) we were informed of another policy change, no key deposit now, someone will open and close the Centre for them; how paternal and impractical. We asked the questionss in an email: Does the new policy change only apply to Ngulpa Nglpa? Does everyone else get to have a key deposit? does everyone else get to pick the key up from Manoora and not have to go to the city? They avoided the question in the response this morning. Smells like Discrimination to me. Ive let them know if we do not get a response to our questions by this time next week we are going to the media and seeking legal representation.
