Morayfield State High School is seeking a P&C Association Operations Manager Morayfield State High School is a co-educational school and will have an enrolment of approximately 1500 students in 2015 across Years 7-12. Our school vision, “Achieving Excellence through Innovation and Integrity; Leadership and Community” commits all staff and students to learning that engages students and providing access to a high quality education, that ensures a clever, skilled and creative community of learners. Our P&C operates a Tuckshop five days per week which provides students with healthy options and a menu that reflects alignment with the intention of the Smart Choices Strategy. The P&C also operates a Uniform Shop which is generally open three days per week and provides all student uniforms. About the role We are looking for a highly motivated person to manage the daily operation of the on-campus retail outlets of the P&C, (currently a Tuckshop and Uniform Shop). You will be responsible for assisting in developing, implementing and monitoring the business units in accordance with the policies and directions of the P&C Executive, delivered through the P&C president. You will also be required to attend P&C meetings once a month. The role will be 3- 4 days a week and approx 20 hours per week. Employment details and remuneration to be outlined at interview stage Skills/Experience Essential • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Worked in a managerial or a team leader role • Knowledge of profit/loss and balance sheets • Must hold a current valid Blue Card or be eligible to apply with ‘Working with Children Check’ Preferred (not essential) • Event planning • Worked in a School/Tuckshop environment • Written a business plan Skills • Knowledge of MYOB • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Selection Criteria (To be answered as part of initial application. Please limit answers to 1 page per question) 1. Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively. As you will be reporting to a “Board”, please address in your answer how you would structure a written reply to a business plan. How would you would identify and prioritise key objectives? 2. Good organisational and administrative skills. Describe how you would develop an organisational plan for a business. Give examples of how you would develop key performance measures for the different areas of the business. 3. Proven ability to work as part of a team. Provide written evidence how you contributed to resolving a problem in a team environment 4. Well developed customer service skills. Detail experiences where you have dealt directly with the public. Describe how you would communicate to a team about acceptable standards in attire, attitude and verbal communication to customers. 5. Proven ability to manage projects. Detail your involvement in the success of a project, Provide information on how the implementation plan was developed, measured and reported on.
