More Heroin Arrest, Thank You for all the tips......... Police arrested two Thumb-area residents on felony heroin distribution charges, following a seven-week-long investigation conducted by the Huron County Sheriff’s Office and Bad Axe City Police. On at about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nickolas J. Langley, 22, of Bad Axe and Cory M. Visscher, 22, of Minden City were taken into custody while exiting a vehicle at an agricultural commodity storage yard on McDonald Road in Sigel Township, according to a Huron County Sheriff’s Office report. Authorities then seized Langley’s GMC Jimmy and conducted two residential search warrants. They found 46 small packets of suspected heroin, marijuana, scales, packaging material, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, drug sales records and nearly $300 cash, according to the report. The searches took place at 4760 Learman Road in Sigel Township, and 935 E. Huron Avenue in Bad Axe. Sheriff Kelly J. Hanson said the heroin was selling for nearly $50 per packet. Langley and Visscher were arraigned on the charges in Huron County District Court on Thursday, according to the report. Bond is set at $15,000 per man and both Langley and Visscher remain in the county jail. Police say other charges are likely as follow-up investigation continues, which includes the involvement of two under-aged female acquaintances of the arrested.
