More heat, plenty of sunshine and no rain through the work week. A HEAT ADVISORY is in effect through Thursday. Upper-level high pressure ridge continues to sit over Texas leaving our days hot and dry. We expect a string of days with highs of 100+, and no mention of rain. We will see our winds pick up a bit each afternoon and evening with gusts up to 20 mph. The only change in the foreseeable future is a weak low pressure trough developing in the Gulf of Mexico late in the week. This low pressure system is forecast to move westward through the Gulf by the weekend, bringing only a slight chance of rain on Saturday and Sunday.
