How will this impact me? We are currently working with the Canadian authorities to make sure that OSAP funding is uninterrupted. It may take a while to get final confirmation on this. Once we have that, we will communicate it. Q. I’m receiving funding from Department of VA. How will this impact me? We are currently working with the VA to make sure that funding is uninterrupted. It may take a while to get final confirmation on this. Once we have that, we will communicate it. Q. I have more questions. How can I get more information regarding this relocation? A special email address has been set up for this purpose: [email protected]. A school representative will respond to any questions regarding this matter within 24 hours. Also, this Q&A will be posted on the student portal. We will update it with additional questions and answers as we get them. If you still do not have access to student portal, please email [email protected] For Clinical Students Q. Will I need to request official transfer to Anguilla? No. The entire paperwork process will take place on the backend and will be completed in October. All clinical science credits earned after October 1st will be listed under SJSM Anguilla. Q. How, if any, will this impact my future residency application? The impact should be minimal. The transfer is taking place within the same institution and will be viewed more favorably than traditional transfers between different institutions. We are currently discussing several options with IMED to determine whether separate transcripts are even necessary. Once we get an answer we will communicate it to you. Q. I already applied for residency this year, how will this impact me? For students who have applied for residency for 2014 match your documentation has been submitted via ERAS. If you have any rotations to complete for graduation, your rotations will be counted under SJSM Anguilla and you will officially graduate as an SJSM Anguilla student. Otherwise, if you have completed all your required coursework, you will graduate as a SJSM Bonaire student.
