More news out of Patriots camp as New England continues to spend money. According to the Providence Journal the Pats have reached a three-year deal with wide receiver Brandon LaFell. The story was first broken by ESPN and Comcast Sports. LaFell, who has played his entire NFL career with the Carolina Panthers, is a big receiver (6 feet 2 inches, 210 pounds) who normally lines up in the slot and is known for his blocking ability as well as his pass-catching skills. Hes 27, out of LSU, and caught a career-high 49 passes for 627 yards and five touchdowns last year. He has also been durable throughout his career, missing only four games in four seasons with the Panthers.
