More on my mind shrine - Kasuga Taisha in Nara, Japan. I find myself constructing images from online - things that capture images, scents, feelings. I realize two reasons whats driving me here - 1) its a place Ive been both in reality and creatively on my first big project and 2) its a place Im constructing to exist in the Yamasong world too. One of the village elders teaches his pupils to meditate on the hidden forest and I find myself imagining what lives in that mental forest now. Both as a meditative exercise and as a constructive exercise to give Yamasong more solidity... if that makes sense?!
