Morgantown High School band honoree for West Virginia Strawberry Festival Grand Feature Parade BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — The 265-member Morgantown High School Marching “Mohigan” Band will serve as this year’s In-State Honor Band for the 73rd West Virginia Strawberry Festival Grand Feature Parade The West Virginia Strawberry Festival is honored to have the Morgantown High School Marching Mohigans, under the direction of Mr. Keith Reed, as the 2014 In-State Honor Band, said a festival parade official. Starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, the parade moves along a 2.5 mile Strawberry Lane route through Buckhannon. The grand feature parade is sponsored by The Inter-Mountain and will be broadcast “Live” at 1 p.m. by WDTV on Channel 5. Festival officials said the grand feature parade showcases marching bands, drill teams, colorful floats, novelty units, specialty units and more. Over the years, this parade has hosted bands and units from 42 U.S. States, Italy, Mexico, Sweden, Canada, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Bahama Islands and France.
