Don’t indulge your ego at the expense of your soul. Live an exemplary life among the natives so that your actions will refute their prejudices. Then they’ll be won over to God’s side and be there to join in the celebration when He arrives. 13 Make the Master proud of you by being good citizens...#Bible Todays verse says it all... 2 Corinthians 5:20 also reminds us that We are Christs ambassadors. Lets consider this story: An old story is often repeated of a retiring missionary coming home to America on the same boat as the president of the United States. Cheering crowds, a military band, a red carpet, banners, and the media welcomed the president home, but the missionary slipped off the ship unnoticed. Feeling self-pity and resentment, he began complaining to God. Then God gently reminded him, But my child, youre not home yet.😇 Listen you will not be in heaven two seconds before you cry out, Why did I place so much importance on things that were so temporary? Why did I waste so much time and energy on what wasnt going to last? Beloved when we see life from Gods view, a number of things about us will change. Our goals will change, our values will change, our relationships will change, our investments will change (well invest into eternity), our attitude towards life will change, our priorities and interests will all change. When life gets tough, when youre overwhelmed with doubt, or when you wonder if living for Christ is worth the effort, remember that you are not home yet; At death you wont leave home, - youll go home...
