When we have entered into the Christian faith, is determined by whether or not we are doing our will or God’s will. John 6:38 Jesus said, “For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me” He prayed as he was face to the ground: Matthew 26:39 “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will”. And if we are going to belong to Jesus, and be like Jesus, we have to come to the place where we live to do the will, Of the One who made us and sent us into the world, to live out his purposes for us. We are no longer our own. It is important to seek and to be like Christ, who is our Saviour and model for life. The Bible says, “Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God. Doing God’s will brings us into a relationship with Jesus, for he said, Matthew 12:50 “For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother” If we Stubbornly refusing to surrender to the will of God invites disaster into our lives, but accepting his will brings peace and rest to our souls. We need to imitate the life of Christ, so we say with the Psalmist, Psalm 40:8 “I desire to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart” Romans 12:2 “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will” Finishing the race in Gods ministry and the result of doing God’s will is eternal life. 1 John 2:17 , “The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever”. But dong God’s will takes humility . It means that you finally understand that you do not know it all, and cannot do it on your own. It means you die to your stubborn pride and surrender to the will of God. Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others” May god bless us this day not to be Proud and self-focused but to do the will of God.. Amen..
