Morning Devo: Years ago, my husband did an experiment on a pandhandler. His experiment was to see how this pandhandler would react to a handful of pennies. If the gift was received with a heart of grattitude, he would give her more than what she was asking for. I stood with embarassment and tried to convince my husband not to do it...but he was persistent. He proceeded to walk to our vehicle, scooped out every penny from our cup holder and placed it in the hands of this woman. She was excited to see how much money was placed in her hands...until she noticed it was all copper. She was livid!! Every foul word came out of her mouth and she threw the money back at him. I was in shock!! As we walked back to our vehicle, her footsteps werent too far behind. She followed us with a few harsh words and a very hot temper. Many times, life can be just like that. We pray for BIG things to happen in our life, when in fact the small things get ignored. If we cant appreciate the small things God has already given us, what makes us think we can handle the BIG things that He has prepared for us?! God, who by His mighty power, is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or dream of~ infinitely beyond our highest prayers, thoughts, desires or hopes. Ephesians 3:20 The measure of our gratefulness isnt measured by our reaction to the BIG things, but our reaction to the simple small things! If GRACE was the only things God could give you...would you be satisfied? Watch and view the reaction of this young lad who receives a cutting board as gift from his parents. He is thankful for the gift and how he cant wait to chop meat on it. Then his parents give him his real gift, a tablet, and his reaction is priceless! He Gets It! AmazingGrace!!
