Morning Guys, Today as forecasted looks set to be a cool and gloomy overcast day so if anything will slowly get worse with drizzle developing for most of Canterbury. Winds will become fresh in coastal parts especially in northern Canterbury during the afternoon but winds will remain relatively light in inland areas. Temperatures should reach double figures but only just. Into the weekend doesn’t look flash we can’t escape the weather with drizzle giving way to light rain later Saturday afternoon then persistent rain Saturday night before clearing Sunday evening in Christchurch. At this stage rainfall totals won’t be warning material but parts of north Canterbury, Cheviot to Kaikoura may receive fairly persistent rain later Saturday into Sunday. Fingers crossed for the boarders and skiers, snow levels may drop but at this stage it doesn’t look great for fresh snow as mentioned yesterday. Get out the monopoly and DVDs or wrap up warm and watch some club footy, it looks set to be a damp/cool weekend! In the meantime enjoy your Friday-RV
