Morning Inspiration: When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. 1st Corinthians 9:22 Christians who have overcome problems in their past, can tend to look down on, or criticize those who are still struggling with the same issues today. Here, Paul teaches us not to brag about our strength, but to share the truth of our weakness. A believer who says I dont drink any longer, and neither should you! sounds harsh and judgmental. One who is kind and compassionate, is more likely to be listened to and eventually asked for advice. Saying something like Im sorry youre going through this, and Ill never forget what a difficult period it was in my life. Jesus helped me to get through, and I know if you ask, Hell help you too is both throwing out a lifeline of hope, and leaving open a door of help, when they are ready. Allowing others to see the truth of our weaknesses and difficulties, helps them to see the strength and power of our mighty God.
