Morning Reminder: Friday. SPECIAL REMINDER IN RESPONSE TO AN ARTICLE BY A CHRISTIAN WITH THE TITLE 20 REASONS WHY I CAN NEVER BE A MUSLIM I will in shaa Allah quote part of his words then respond to it. First of all he or she started by saying My difficulty in accepting Islam as a mainstream religion and not a cult offering no spiritual benefit to mankind are based on the following reasons: 1. DENIAL OF CHRIST’S DIVINITY: Islam claims Jesus was a mere Prophet but the evidence from the scriptures and prophesies in Judeo- Christian scriptures are overwhelming in confirmation of his deity. Jesus could only be lunatic liar or Son of God. Id a lunatic to believe He was a lunatic. RESPONSE: First of all, the counter question is did Jesus peace be upon him himself claimed to be God or Son of God as they understand it? Studies of the Bible itself which by the way is a translated version as the original is lost says different. Lets see the First of the Ten Commandments given to Moses. Read the Book of Deuteronomy, verse 4: Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord The very same First Commandment is endorsed by Jesus in Mark: [And one of the scribes came, and … asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:] (Mark 12:28-29, KJV). We do not find Jesus making any amendment to the First Commandment to suggest that Jesus is God Himself, or God incarnate! Isnt it odd? God says in the Quran that Jesus PBUH was one of His Messengers and John 12:49 underscores the fact that Jesus is the Messenger — one who is sent — of God. So, whatever Jesus said was revealed to him by God. This also very clearly shows that Jesus was not God. Note that he does not say that he spoke for himself as God. Where does the verse say that Jesus is the Son before creation? The whole Pauline theology about God becoming flesh is completely alien to Jesus teaching here. Note that Muslims cannot talk against any teachings of Jesus himself PBUH, Islam is a complete way of life revealed to Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam to teach and warn mankind so anyone can choose to reject it as Jews rejected Jesus Christ PBUH. DENIAL OF CRUCIFIXION: Islam claims Jesus was not crucified, did not die and there was no resurrection. Historical data from no-religious sources confirms the crucifixion fact. RESPONSE: Its a sad reality that Christians wants to believe in history of historians who rejected Jesus Christ PBUH in the first place but reject Quran which is from God to mankind. Islamic scholars like Sheikh Ahmed deedaat May Allah be pleased with him and others like Dr Zakir Naik have proofing from the Bible that Jesus Christ PBUH, was not killed or crucified but instead of following the historic accounts of the Bible, they choose to believe in history and new doctorine by their saint Paul who claim to have spoken to Jesus Christ in dream and he has been believed but when Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam says he spoke to God and sent Angel Gabriel to him to deliver Islam to mankind, they reject that. Thats pure ignorance isnt it. For full lecture on this topic please visit this link Sheikh Ahmed Deedat: youtu.be/qHF5evfPwmc. HIS 3RD CLAIM: 3. ABSENCE OF SALVATION: Islam offers no Salvation promise and my fate is determine by my good works and allahs will. I know Im a hopeless sinner and if it was solely up to my deeds, hell is a certainty and Im no better than atheists and pagans, and religion would make no sense outside Jesus Christ sacrificial death and resurrection that ransoms mankind from eternal damnation. RESPONSE: This is a total lie about Islamic faith. Even Many Muslims due to lack of Islamic Knowledge fail to realize that the Islamic concept of salvation is not based upon only good deeds, but is based primarily upon faith. In the dozens of times Allah Almighty talks in the Quran about salvation, He always states, Those who believe and do good deeds. Belief is always mentioned before deeds or works. When one converts to Islaam, one does not do it by doing some good work but rather through realizing and believing that there is but one God and Muhammed peace be upon him is his last messenger. Such persons becomes a Muslim and all their past sins forgiving to the extend that if they are to die the next day without even offering one rakaat salaat, they will enter paradise by the permission of Allah. Non-Muslims may perform good works as well, but what sets them apart from Muslims is their lack of IMA’AN (Aqeedah) [faith], or belief. The reason that the good works of the non-believers are worthless in the hereafter is because of their disbelief. Unless a persons imaan or aqeedah is not correct, all his good deeds are worthless. If the faith or ageedah is good then the good deeds and other acts like salaat will raise our ranks in jannat. We are not aiming for downtown jannat but rather VIP Jannat up there with the Messenger in shaa Allah. So say Alhamdulillah for been a practicing Muslim and lets study our deen to do daawah to them as Allah commanded. To be continued in shaa Allah. May Allah guide this confused person to Islam and protect our faith from any satanic influences. Aameen. Please remember today is Friday as such we should strive to send more salawaat to our beloved messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam, take our ghusul, recite Quran chapter 18, go for jumuat Salaat early and wear nice clothing.
