Morning all! Its Pepper here, not a re-post...and I NEED YOUR ATTENTION AND SUPPORT!!! Please keep your eyes out for a FB invite from me and several others regarding a special concert for a very special reason! The 1st Annual VET FEST will happen on Sun, Nov 9th - in Asheville at Highland Brewing 2-6pm. Andy Buckner and PREACHER STONE will perform at an event that I have dreamed organizing for almost 2 years...now God put some legs to it and is making it happen....QUICKLY! This is a benefit concert for 2 amazing non-profit organizations here in Asheville that help Veterans in super special ways. Dean has been the recipient of services from both and he has healed in so many ways because of the amazing folks who volunteer their time and energy to serving Veterans.They are: Heart of Horse Sense (equine therapy) and Helios Warriors (alternative treatments i.e. chiro, raki, accupunct, etc). When I say God put legs to this thing, I must give Him ALL the glory...it was just a simple idea..Bring these 2 non-profits together, and see if we could put together a concert to earn some much needed funding for their programs. (These folks provide services for little to NO cost!!) .Next I ask Andy & the fellas from Preacher Stone if they might be willing to perform. They were on board immediately, no hands down! Then, through my day job, i met Leah Wong,of the Highland Brewing & discussed the idea with her and she loved it and donated the facility and $1 per beer sold that day. Next came several sponsors...BAM,BAM.BAM done! No one has turned me down since I started asking!!! This is going to happen! Dean & I want to personally invite our FB family and dear friends.... because so many of you know all these wonderful musicians. We have danced and sang their songs together from PA to Cozumel, and all ports in-between. So I want you ALL to come. Yeah...ALL of you! 11/9 is a GREAT time of year in Asheville-fall colors/great beer. Good time for a visit. Come up on Saturday - stay til Monday. (Cause I need you beer drinkers to drink a few beers on Sunday!!!) Bring a sleeping bag and sleep on my floor, pitch a tent in my backyard. Whatever it takes....yall come!!! Dean and I never knew paying it forward could be so much fun and for such good reasons. Those who have cared so much for Dean and I, along with these 2 organizations, and Gods help, are the reasons our lives feel so rich and full of promise again. Spread the word, spread it wide and far....Yall come!!!! Invite EVERYBODY!
