Morning all. So I had the opportunity to have a quick talk with Jack McCord. So the physical is all looking great, he mentioned is up to walking on one crutch which is great news. The ribs are going to take a while to heal along with the rest of the body but that was mostly bones. As you can imagine he didnt quite sound himself but that was mainly just due to the trauma on his brain. He mentioned his memory was getting better and better every day. At the moment he is going through some vocal coaching too in order to get some of the variance in voice tone. A funny like excerpt from our conversation: J : ...They have me sing in order to get the pitch and tone back in my voice S: Ok, so whats your favourite? Old Mac Donald? Humpty Dumpty? J: No I have been busting out a bit of Beatles, Rolling Stones S: Oh god you havent been doing the Jagger Swagger around your ward have you? J: Yep its good for the hips and nurses love it ! So as you see his still has his sense of humour ! He is going to be staying in Darwin for a little while longer, he believes that the rehab is really working well and wants to stick with it. As soon as he goes to Sydney he will be an outpatient, which just goes to show how far along the recovery path he has come. Theres no doubt its still going to be a long time to get him back to his old self, but he was a lot further along that continuum than I thought. Once again thank you all. Jack understands what has happened and knows a little bit about the effort that went into this, in time he will be able to thank you in his own words. Thats it for now ! Sean
