Tom Brady threw for 349 yards and two touchdowns in a pass-heavy offense against the NFLs stingiest rushing defense. The Patriots led 24-6 at halftime as Brady repeatedly found wide-open receivers while the Lions struggled on offense. The Portland Trail Blazers extended their winning streak to seven games with a 94-88 victory over the Boston Celtics last night. Jeff Green and Jared Sullinger had 19 points apiece for Boston, which dropped its fifth in six games. Avery Bradley and Rajon Rondo each scored 13. Rondo added eight assists and six rebounds. The New England Revolution beat the New York Red Bulls 2-1 yesterday in the first leg of the MLS Eastern Conference finals. Jermaine Jones finished a counter attack in the 85th minute with a tap-in. The win gives the Revolution a significant advantage heading home for the second leg of the aggregate-goals series on Saturday at Gillette Stadium.
