Morning update 10/17 from Ralph at 10:15am: Christie had a good night with no bothersome incidents. Still having vaso-spasms which sap her strength but they do subside in intensity from time to time. Sometimes on one side of her brain, sometimes the other & sometimes both. We learned that the spasms have been happening since day one...whenever that was! I hear about her active times but when dad visits she is always asleep. Again this morning she is sleeping peacefully; breathing steady & color good. The docs check on her frequently & now let her rest more in the mornings as they have learned what a night owl she is. Please continue prayers for her to gain strength daily so she can get the respirator out & truly begin her journey to rehabilitation.
