#MorningDevotion! Approach the throne with confidence “In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.” Ephesians 3:12 God is a consuming fire. His presence is so glorious that the Israelites could not withstand it when he came to Mount Sinai. His nature is to consume sin because the bible says that without holiness no one shall see the Lord. Before Jesus died, no one could access God’s presence except the High Priest. This is why the soldier who touched the arc of the covenant died immediately. When Jesus died, the veil tore from top to bottom allowing people access to the presence of God. We can now come boldly to the throne of grace and plead our causes to the Father. You have access to our Lord Almighty’s presence. Do not fear to plead your case before him. Jesus purchased the right for you to stand before the Father despite your sin unlike before in the Old Testament because he is the lamb that took your sin upon His own body when he died on the cross.
