Most christian traditions celebrate Christ the King this Sunday (Domsöndagen for you Swedish folks) It is a day celebrating the present and coming just, peaceable, righteous reign of God: a larger visionary reality. So I figured the hopeful anarchist voice of author Ursula Le Guin - delivering her acceptance speech at the National Book Foundation just the other day - would be a suitable digest. She says; We live in capitalism. Its power seems inescapable. So did the divine right of kings... We will need writers who can remember freedom. Poets, visionaries—the realists of a larger reality. I feel encouraged to find in there a lot of viable connections to that great visionary realism (of a larger reality that one day will be all in all) that I seek to embrace.
