Most everything that is true of a mirror is true of the Word of God it is meant to be a way for us to consider and judge ourselves. Its a way to get off to look at our selfs and see what is wrong with us... And like a physical mirror the Word of God forces us to be honest with our selves.. Just as we do with physical mirrors we wash our face put on zit concealer to hide the blemish... And many other things to make us feel we look appropriate... This is a standard that you and your mind have developed..... Well theres another mirror and this mirror is a spiritual mirror...ITS GODS WORD.... The word reveals to us the spiritual and moral changes that we need to make it shows us what is wrong with us and like a mirror the Word of God does not deceive us. But we dont always like the truth especially when it means that we have not measured as we should. We dont like the guilt that comes from having to be honest with ourselves as we tell ourselves that even though we are not perfect no one is and that at least we are not as bad as others...MY FAVORITE ONE IS .... We tell ourselves that we cannot change who we are and God should understand that... If you are not going to be honest with what you see of yourself and your flaws in the mirror of Gods Word then why do you pick up the Bible in the first place.. WHY CLAIM TO BE OBEDIENT CHILDREN OF THE MOST HIGH GOD.... When the Holy Spirit pricks your heart and your imperfections and flaws fallout ...Like A LANCED BOIL.... Sinking and rotten..ITS PAINFUL.... HELLO¡!!!! THEY are revealed to us...THEN WE BECOME THE PEOPLE... Who hear....... BUT DO NOT DO the Word of God and the Word of God actually does us no good.. When you looked in that mirror you used it you know just how you looked ...you blotted out this ....you concealed that..... Well when you pick up THE WORD OF THE ALMIGHTY GOD..what is your reason for doing that..ITS TO LIVE IT to apply it to your life..to walk by faith NOT SIGHT.... And what does God require of you ..... To fear the LORD thy God to walk in all his ways to love Him and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all my might with all my soul IT REQUIRES YOU BE HONESTY......selah.
