Most incredible to see the cities from which academia.edu states scholars viewed my academic writing just this week alone: Perth, Sydney, Canberra, Highland MD, London, Terrell TX, Kansas City MO, Palluel in France, Vienna GA, Port of Spain in Trinidad, Manila, Jersey Shore PA, Göttingen in Germany, and Tamborine VIC. I think that list is incredible because I remember that I sat in a little apartment in Camperdown, Sydney writing for four years without a peep from anyone, anywhere. My completed MPhil thesis was delivered to my apartment and I sat there staring at it, it was a complete let down. I guess its a great reminder that for those who explore new territory, sometimes the silence is overwhelming. But that doesnt mean you need to stop what youre doing. Of course, with so much attention, Im getting ready for the dialogue to begin.... about things I was thinking and writing in 2006...
