Most of the dogs we have up for adoption are either abandoned or abused or lost. Barfi’s story is a little different, a little more heart wrenching. She belonged to a family with four other dogs and her human committed suicide, leaving all the puppies to fend for themselves. All five came to CUPA and four of them got adopted into great homes. There’s always the one that gets left behind. Barfi is now 9 months old. She has a condition called medial pattelar luxation in her hind legs, which means the kneecaps extend towards the opposite leg, tucked inwards. This condition requires surgery and, while the surgery on one kneecap was successful, the other one wasn’t and she will have a bent knee for life. The dogs with the saddest stories have the happiest personalities. Barfi is full of love and coy affection for humans. If you’d like to come meet her and consider giving her the loving home she deserves, please call Nanny Woof on 9845430054. You won’t regret it!
