Most of this is my Mothers recipe. Frozen from the garden Fresh tomatoes, hot peppers,corn,peas,vidaila onions,green and red bell peppers, saute all but corn and peas with olive oil diced tomatoes whole tomatoes with a little sauce.one cup of wine,red or white pour in 3/4 after sauteing for 1 hr drink remainder to make sure its not spoiled then add all together in crock pot in my Grandmas big cast iron kettle with virgin olive oil brown lean beef,ground,fresh pork sausage Italian, Course ground baloney,sirloin tips,whole mushrooms, Garlic,and another Vidaila onion,celery cayenne pepper chili power(mc Cormick)and the peas and corn and simmer for 1 hr.(meat is about 1lb each so you need a big roaster or crock pot that holds it all after 1 hr add another cup of wine and another one to sip while you stir it got have the wine to be a good cook. I always put the celery late so it stays crunchy oh ya 1 tablespoon of fresh ground horseradish.. Now Im going to sit back and wait drink my wine watch the race (one eye open) and do nothing....(elbow Mac is optional)
