Most of us feel very passionate about the High Speed Rail plans to come through our county. I am am not posting this for a place to debate positions of right or wrong. I am posing these questions to my county supervisor using the scenario that the rail ends up coming through. If you post here, please stay focused on the above. Pretty please with sugar on top. Doug Verboon, as a supervisor here in Kings County, please articulate what the countys Plan B scenario is for attracting the best possible employment opportunities for us here in our area. In other words, if the countys lawsuits go nowhere, what plans do the supervisors have in place to attempt the acquisition of stations, maintenance facilities, etc.? For many of us the worst case scenario is that the other, more aggressive counties land these golden opportunities while our county did nothing to get them. Do we have a plan b? Has anything at all been done behind the scenes in the event that your lawsuits fall through? If HSR comes through our county will we miss out on these extremely important employment opportunities?
