Most of you know I got pregnant at the tender age of 14! I wasnt expecting my life to go that way, but it did! I knew I was no longer a teenager, I was a mother. I was shocked, scared, and every other emotion possible. My parents were not happy by any means, but they were there for me every step of the way(thank google!). I had my son on a Thursday and was back in school on Monday taking my tests to pass the 9th grade! I passed all of them, I remember (shocking!) I passed my science test by ONE point. I DIDNT care about my score, I was ecstatic that I passed it because I hated science. I went on to complete my 10th/11th grade year in one year and graduate from high school in 3 years rather than 4, while raising a small child. I always had a job, I always took care of my son, I always struggled to do the best I could and believe in myself. I went directly to community college in the Fall after graduating HS. I went for awhile then decided to take a break. Nobody thought I would go back to school...but I did. I finished school and got my Bachelors degree. Some where in there I also bought a house. Then I got married to an amazing man! The point of me telling you this is I cant tell you how many people thought I was lying about being pregnant. Apparently, that was the fun thing to do at my high school. How many people didnt think I would raise my son well,. How many people didnt think Id finish school. How many people didnt think Id amount to anything. I used their negative thoughts as fuel to my fire and worked my ass off to be the best mother I can, not only go to school but be the FIRST person in my family to graduate from college, buy MY own house, buy MY own car, and live my life in a way that makes ME and my son happy. This life isnt about pleasing any one else, this life is about making yourself happy. Screw them and what they think! Prove them all wrong and help them pick their jaw up off the floor with a smile on your face!
