Most of you who are my friends know my three daughters ... each of whom I love very much. Much like other sisters they are alike in many ways and yet each as their own idividual personality. The good traits they got from their mother and the traits that are not so good came from being around deacons children. Ha! A pastors family is no different than any other family in regards to struggles, disagreements, growing pains, suprises, joys and sorrows. And just in case anyone doesnt understand ... a pastor and his family can experience sickness and pain just like others. To tell you the truth their mother and I had fewer health issues than they have experienced and continue to cope with. I share this because of what Rhonda has reported today. Since she was about twelve years of age she has had to deal with rhuematoid arthritis. She has gone to various specialists ever since she was a young girl. And the amount of prayer that has been sent heavenward on her behalf has been unrelenting. Those that have prayed for her no doubt numbers into the hundreds. Last night she attended a tent revival that is being sponsered by the church in Austin where they are on staff. After the evangelist concluded his message he asked those who were needing to be healed to come forward which Rhonda has done many times throughout her life. But something happened last night that had no happened before. The evangelist told those who were in need of healing to touch the part of their body in need of a miracle. She could have touched herself in almost any part of her body being that the disease has affected many parts of her body. But for some reason she touched her arm. The one she had not been able to straighten out for years and the one that gave her constant pain. He then instructed those who were praying for their healing to do what they had not been able to do before they prayed. To her suprise and great joy she stretched out the arm and immediately realized that she had been healed and was able to sleep last night without pain. We give God all the glory for the miracle and trust that He will continue to manifest His power in her body.
