Most of you who follow me or know me personally know how I feel about religion. It is dangerous, destructive and the base cause of most of the problems the world and humanity face today. This minute people are dying because of religion. But, I do believe in humanity, the basic goodness in mankind and every so often someone will come from an unexpected source and do great humanitarian acts for various reasons. This is one of those times. This small act, a pair of shoes and socks and a hug was greater than donating vast sums of money to some charity or giving to some fund. This was personal and nothing is greater than person to person contact, a touch, a hug, a smile and a spoken word. This man showed kindness and compassion without judgment. No questions asked. We are indeed all one in so many ways and to help another is to help everyone. I have watched this several times and each time it gets to me. One person commented that this man filmed it just to make himself look good. That is far too negative for me because I really dont care. What he did is the important thing to me. If you want to do the same thing and film it go ahead. I think it is great because we need great examples to wake us and teach us how to really be human. We all fall short, some more than others, I know because I know how I fail everyday. Many of us have little but our little can go a long way. So, if this encourages just one other person to do something like this, to perform acts of kindness without judgement then please, share this with as many as possible.
