Most secondary school heads in Nandi, Uasin Gishu and Elkeyo Marakwet counties are fanning religious intolerance and and have converted the once public schools into churches/schools as per say! This head teachers are thriving with this primitive notion that they are everything in those schools. They have forgotten that they are public servants hence answerable to the public and not church employees. They havent read the constitution well and so think that whatever by-law they make with semi-illiterate board is superior than the law of the land. In church we never question on tithes and offerings but in public, we do. The three counties are known for crufty heads starting with the famous Pangani girls, Kenya High, Metkei, Meteitei boys under MP Melly, Wareng High school and others. They have been to court over religious intolerance leading to persecution of innocent students through expulsion among many other punishments. Shockingly, though still under investigations, school heads are said to be remitting ksh100K or more per term to corrupt individual at the TSC to cover there ills and retain them as PnP in the stations they are in. Petition for the removal of the TSC crooks is under way otherwise how comes a head stays in on school for more than 10 years like the one for wareng high school who is nearly retire ring there ? The same heads are defiant to county directors since they know they have bought there stay from the corrupt TSC officials. How does a vail or hair affect academic performance of an individual? It is only narrow and shallow mind of school heads from the three regions who think so and its time they style up from this primitive and barbaric by-laws in our schools. Measures are under way once done with the head which is the TSC.
