Mother Nature really sucks sometimes!! Weve been watching this bird, in a hanging basket right by our front door, we can see in perfectly, make a nest, lay eggs, watch the eggs hatch and the babies grow. One of the babies were hopping around on the front porch, I figured she was leaving the nest type of thing, but I hadnt seen the mom all day. Michael comes running in , he was outside watching the baby, a HAWK came right on my porch and grabbed that baby and flew off and Michael saw the whole thing!! Then I saw , what looks like a bird was plucked on the lawn scene, feathers everywhere, obviously a crime scene ( mom was eaten too!!!) and now theres one baby left in nest who Im assuming is toast!! What a bummer!! Were so sad!!
