Motorcycle insurance renewal time. Policy covering UK and up to 90-days in Europe, including breakdown/recovery cover: £130.67 Same policy including cover for Morocco (max. 90-day trip per visit): £172.91 I take a few hours to consider my options then speak again with the insurance company. I ask if there are any extra charges if I actually do go to Morocco. Turns out I would need a special green card for the time of the trip, which incurs an extra cost; an extra £31 for a 1-week trip plus £15 brokerage fee; £58 +£15 fee for two weeks, and God knows what further time would cost. Extra charges that were not even mentioned when I asked for the cost of the policy. Outrageous. The charges are hardly insignificant. It would probably be cheaper to rent a bike that includes insurance while in Morocco. Typical despicable and negligent misleading work of insurance companies. Sickening corporate behaviour, and standard deplorable insanity of capitalism. Death to the monetary system.
