Mountaineering camp concludes IMPHAL, July 18 : The closing ceremony of the 70th Adventure Mountaineering Camp Camp was held at Manipur Mountaineering Institute, Lamdan on Tuesday,a delayed reports said.Commander Loktak Brigade of Red Shield Division congratulated the budding mountaineers on the successful completion of the ten days camp. He called upon the participants to emulate the feat of Manipuri members of Mt Everest Expedition, who have brought laurels to the state. A total of 32 students attended the camp, comprising of 23 boys and 9 girls from the age group of 15-18 years. Miss N Bidyapati the ace mountaineer of Manipur who was the first women from Manipur to scale Mt Everest was amongst the guests who attended the closing function. The President of Manipur Mountaineering and Trekking Association Dr L Surjit Singh thanked the Red Shield Division for all the support extended to the young mountaineers in smooth conduct of the camp.
