Movie Review: The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies A sadly somewhat disjointed mess, with the pacing of the first installment. Visually pretty at times, but you are saturated with battlescenes which really carry surprisingly little weight or logic. Main character syndrome with forced manufactured plot points to tie it in the LOTR. Certain concepts which get way too much screen time (mayors aide Alfrid for example...). I could really go on, but Ill save you the trouble. See it if you want, its at least entertaining enough, and its the last Peter Jackson effort in Middle Earth youll be able to see. Fantasy fans will see enough of what you like, but you might be saddened by the mishandling of this trilogy in general. Still, theres 30 seconds of Galadriel which made my price of admission more than worth it.
