Moving into your new Condominium Tips Moving in general is often a stressful and time consuming process. Using a moving checklist or a cell phone moving app can help prepare you for a stress free move. If you are moving from a house to a Condominium there are extra things to consider. Whether this is a new condo, a high rise or a small condo, tips and checklists are what you need. Planning your new space If you are downsizing to a small condo, you may have items to dispose of that will not fit into your new space. Sketch out the floor plan of your new home to determine placement of furnishings. Assess and decide on items to recycle, sell, donate or dispose of. Packing tips Plan how you will pack and create an inventory list with space to detail the items packed in each box. Start packing items first that you don’t use often as soon as you find out you’re moving. Label boxes, listing the contents and room on the outside of the carton. Clearly mark “Fragile” on the outside of boxes. Write open first on cartons containing essential items such as cooking utensils, toiletries, etc. Separate breakables and non-breakables and use professional packing tape to avoid a mishap.
