***Mr. Gabe update*** WE ARE HOME!!! YAY!!! As most of you know, he has been diagnosed with Accute Partial Epilepsy They have done an EEG and determined which part is miss firing and the with the MRI they concentrated on that region. No head injuries to our knowledge and they have done 2 separate blood panels ruling out foreign viruses or other apparent triggers. In epilepsy, most cases are left unknown as far as the cause, so thats where we are. No tumors or apparent, visible issues in his little head. We are using a medicine called keppra to help control them and right now its just trial and error to get the frequency and dosage correct. Hes somewhat back to himself, but still having blankouts as weve come to call them probably 10-12 times every 24 hours. He sleeps in the same room as us and we watch him like a hawk. Now, only time will tell as we work to control things. We would just like to thank each and every one of you for the prayers and support over the last week. We are truly grateful and thankful to have such awesome freinds and family here supporting us through this very difficult time. If you have kids, especially little ones, make sure that if you notice any little changes in their actions or personalities that come and go, dont ignore it. Question it to your fullest power. Though they might turn out to be nothing, there is a chance you might catch something like this before it gets bad. Once again, From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. The Gangler Clan.
