For Kwabena, he reserved his lecture about never lending money to a friend unless you were willing to lose it without disappointment. He started to address Yaw on the importance of never failing to show gratitude....then he paused mid-sentence, creased his brow into fierce frown and turned to his wife: Akua, ah, but...ah...is EVERYBODY here? Akua was joined by the children in an eager chorus: Yes, Pa!!! Mr. Kwarteng shook his head wearily. Then, wagging his finger, he intoned solemnly for the benefit of Yaw: this is the most important counsel of all, my son, NEVER LEAVE THE FAMILY SPARE PARTS SHOP UNATTENDED BY AT LEAST ONE MEMBER OF THE FAMILY, EVER!
